Enforcement Support - Gavel on a stand
When things go wrong and your business may be subject to enforcement action from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

This could happen following:

  • An accident or dangerous occurrence
  • Complaints by employees or third parties
  • A planned or unplanned visit by the regulator

HSE may request you to provide a written explanation with supporting evidence, or, for more serious matters, issue enforcement notices or Fees for Intervention (FFIs) which charges you for the time they take to conclude their action.

Based in Bristol and the South West, Safety Synergy can support you throughout the enforcement process and will be fully involved in your communication with HSE.

We will work with you to understand what went wrong and why, and to help you put in place an action plan which demonstrates your commitment to putting things right. Where we think it appropriate and realistic, we can challenge or appeal enforcement notices on your behalf.

Enforcement action can be damaging to a business’s reputation with a negative impact on finances and morale, Safety Synergy will work with you to minimise this impact.
